Nexo
Working-time control in Spain
In Spain working-time control is not an optional HR module: it is the daily working-time record. Since 2019 you must log start and end, keep it four years and show it to staff, their representatives and the Inspectorate.

The essentials
01
What to record
The actual start and end time of every person, full- or part-time. That is article 34.9 of the Workers' Statute after RD-law 8/2019.
02
How Nexo does it
Clock-in in the web app (including on a phone), leave and CSV/PDF export. Pricing fits your headcount: we scope it with you on a demo.
Required by law
Time tracking isn't optional.
Since 2019, every company in Spain must record its staff's daily working hours. Doing it poorly exposes you to penalties; doing it right is simple with the right tool.
01
Mandatory since 2019
Spain's Royal Decree-law 8/2019 requires recording the daily start and end of every worker's shift, full- or part-time.
02
Inspectors can fine you
Failing to keep a time record is a serious offence: fines range from €751 to €7,500 per workplace, plus potential overtime claims.
03
Kept for 4 years
Records must be stored for 4 years and made available to staff, their legal representatives and the Labour Inspectorate.
04
A spreadsheet won't protect you
The record has to be reliable. Nexo stores each punch as an immutable event and seals the day. Corrections are audited. A spreadsheet does not give that evidence.
Nexo leaves a CSV or PDF export ready to show. Compliance remains the company's.
